Sophianne Rhode is the Second Life name of Kimberly Knight, the founder of Koinonia Congregational Church in SL. Prior to seminary, Kimberly worked in mutlimedia and instructional technology for over 10 years and earned a BA in religious studies. Kimberly is a Master of Divinity graduate of Candler School of Theology at Emory University. In addition to serving Koinonia, she is the Circuit Rider for The Beatitudes Society. Grounded in progressive Christian theology, Kimberly seeks to foster a community of love, openness and service. She and her partner LeAnne live with their two children in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nitrojeen Gatter is the Second Life persona of Jeanne Roe Smith- a
deaconess in the United Methodist Church who serves as the 
chaplain/executive director of the Wesley Foundation serving UCLA. In
Second Life Nitrojeen is a chaplain of Koinonia Church, and coordinates
activities the Beloved community on Xenia. Beloved Beach, Meditation
Garden and Art & Soul house are an extension of the Wesley
Foundation/UCLA that seeks to enhance and engage creativity,
hospitality, exploration and experience of God’s beloved creation in a
virtual setting. Experiencing God and the sacred in all realms is an
exciting and challenging ministry, and one that both Nitrojeen and her
real life alt pursue with energy and humor.
Adelph Gustafson is an avatar created in March 2007 to represent John Peterson, as he began to explore the world that is Second Life. In First Life, John is one semester away from completing a Masters in Divinity at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. John received a BA in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College and has worked in educational information
technology while pursuing his higher education. John has also been active as an advocate for peace, justice, and inclusiveness in the United Methodist Church and beyond. In Second Life, John participates in the ministry of the Koinonia Congregational Church and is the chaplain on the Virtual Police Department.
